MEDIEVAL AND CONTEMPORARY HOUSE-LOFT

This medieval house located in the heart of the ramparts of Pertuis has been revisited from a fundamentally contemporary angle to create a 140 m² loft overlooking the Lubéron Regional Park. The historical characteristics of the building, cut stones and volumes, have been preserved and renovated with contemporary materials, exotic wood, metal, glass and travertine stones. Its four levels are put into perspective by a subtle play of spaces communicating via an architect’s staircase, enhanced by the transparency of a glass slab positioned in the center of the living room. Large bay windows open onto the horizon, extended to the first level by a 20 m² terrace.
