Between stone and light

This villa is exceptional in many ways.
First of all, the view. Facing south, the unobstructed view is a permanent spectacle all the way to Mount VENTOUX!
The exteriors make skilful use of the rocks to highlight the facilities. The swimming pool – 16m x 7m – in white Carrara marble is surrounded by travertine, enhanced by porphyry, the pool-house offers worktops in yellow granite whose matte effect combines low maintenance and chic appearance. It is equipped like an indoor kitchen!
Nature is also very well represented, with lawns and trees offering much appreciated shade, for example on the petanque court…
As for the house, it generously offers what is nowadays the darling of decorators for its timeless aesthetic, its robustness and its ease of maintenance: travertine.
The interior designer has subtly used it in its colours according to the elements and volumes, in a light, red or grey version. The garage is also magnified by an opus incertum of travertine and marble!
The architect has made the most of the dominant location of the plot: the view from the living room is breathtaking, which goes hand in hand with the light that bathes the room, whether around the fireplace or near the covered terrace. For those days when you want a cosy atmosphere, the whole house is equipped with electric awnings…
The traditional kitchen is large enough to accommodate meals with friends and serves directly the terrace or the dining room. Its furniture was made to measure by a carpenter and its worktops are in granite. It is also accessible via a corridor that shelters the storeroom and the guest toilets (whose unique hand-wash will undoubtedly earn you envious remarks).
The other part of the garden level houses 3 bedrooms, a shower room and a toilet. The bedrooms are spacious, with large wardrobes and direct access to a terrace.
On the first floor, the landing currently houses an office, with access to a roof terrace offering an even more exceptional view.
The rest of this first level is reserved for the owners. Nearly 40 square metres are reserved for the very large bedroom and the unusual bathroom (also with shower). The height of refinement in this room? The two opposite washbasins, offering two very distinct locations, much more luxurious than a simple double washbasin…
You will notice during the visit that detail has been the constant concern of the current owners, who offer us a house that is easy to live in (central vacuuming, large cellar, mosquito nets) but above all “so chic”!
