Rare, former ocher house and its 19th century building on the banks of the Colorado Provençal

This rare property is located in the emblematic heart of the ochres of Rustrel, Le Colorado Provençal, which constitutes, with the whole of the ocher massif of the country of Apt, a site classified as natural heritage. The 19th century structure has been skilfully preserved.

The dwelling house was redesigned by an architect in the 1980s to create a warm and friendly space, under an impressive volume of a living room of 60 m2 open to the four poles and overlooking a winter garden of 37 m2. An aerial staircase takes us to the sleeping area divided into two beautiful bedrooms, a bathroom and an open space used as an office.

Attached to the house, the ocher workshops offer approximately 200 m2 of historical space. Part has been used to make a loft of approximately 70 m2, (to be rehabilitated) opened by large studio windows facing south with a view of the Colorado and nature. Its singularity, its landscaped garden, its exceptional view and its location sheltered from view and nuisance, make this cocoon a timeless place to live.

Since the cessation of ocher exploitation in the middle of the last century, nature has regained its rights and the landscape is constantly changing under the effect of erosion. The ocrier massif is also a privileged space where exceptional flora and fauna develop.
