Artist’s house out of time

A few places in Avignon, nestled near the fortified church, this village house invites you on a journey through time.

Restored with nostalgic respect for authenticity in the heart, its stone facade is defended by a slender yew and entwined by a jasmine of Virginia, with orange trumpets.

Behind the scarlet door with the stained glass lintel, the artist’s studio contemplates through the large arched window, the swaying of the foliage of the bignone and in the distance, the picturesque washhouse of the village. A beautiful staircase leads you into the kitchen bathed in a discreet play of lights. Here, time has stood still thanks to an inspired and authentic decoration with noble materials. The dining room, faithful to this state of mind, invites you to sit down and discover its beautiful floor, its jointed stone walls, its cathedral ceiling with a mezzanine guarded by an elegant wrought iron balustrade. On this floor, an old door opens onto the master bedroom, hidden from view and the tumult of our time. The intimacy of the living room takes place on the second floor in the sub-slope where vigorous beams intersect, the mezzanine acts as an extra bedroom.
