Architect-designed house – Horizontal lines and plays on levels

Built in 1982 on a 5,500 sqm wooded plot, this 225 sqm architect-designed house draws inspiration from some of Frank Lloyd Wright’s principles. Situated on a gentle slope, it plays with levels, horizontal lines, and perspectives, creating a constant dialogue between the architecture and its surroundings.

The nine rooms are revealed gradually, as you ascend the levels and open onto nature. The living spaces are organized around the living room, dining room, and a modernized kitchen. A mezzanine overlooking the living room offers an ideal space for a home office. Visually distinct, the sleeping wing comprises four bedrooms on the ground floor, all opening onto a terrace, as well as a fifth bedroom on the mezzanine. A bathroom, a shower room, and two toilets complete the layout.

The house has retained its original architectural identity while benefiting from some updates over time: the kitchen and bathrooms have been modernized, and the original woodwork has been painted white, bringing more light into the spaces.

Meticulously maintained, the house is ready to move into without any renovation work required. Outside, the architecture extends seamlessly through the terraces, staircases, and different levels of the grounds, creating a series of spaces to discover around the house.

Sometimes open to the park, sometimes more intimate nestled within the greenery, they offer different ways to enjoy the surroundings throughout the day. A wooden deck features a hot tub facing nature, while a spa completes the relaxation areas.

Surrounded by trees and bathed in natural light, the property also includes a garage. The architecture remains true to its original spirit, where the volumes, the topography, and nature continue to interact harmoniously.
