On the other side of the Atlantic, and particularly in Canada, a triplex apartment is seen as a very attractive rental investment for owners who live in one and let the remainder of their property. In France, a triplex is primarily seen as a luxury property either in central Paris or in the suburbs of Gentilly and Montreuil.

A triplex is defined as an apartment with three levels of accommodation. When the property is accessed from the lowest level, it is referred to as an ascending triplex, so conversely, when the entrance to the property is on the upper level, it is referred to as a descending triplex. This detail can change the room layout.Imagine a ground floor with a large entrance hall, a beautiful living room and a kitchen.
