In 2008, the planets seemed aligned in favour of a brilliant career in the financial world, but Julien Haussy had other ideas and left it all behind to open an estate agency specialising in the sale of stand-out homes. Driven by a passion for design and architecture that he had nurtured since childhood, the company’s founder (and keen violinist in his spare time) set up shop in the heart of Paris’ trendy Marais neighbourhood. Little by little, Julien Haussy assembled a team to help him make his new venture grow. From a variety of backgrounds, they all share a strong artistic sensibility, a passion for outstanding property, and a genuine concern for customer satisfaction.
Four years later, home owners and buyers were spontaneously contacting the agency to sell their properties or find the home that was right for them. To meet this enthusiastic demand, Julien decided to open two agencies of Espaces Atypiques in Marseille and Lyon, in 2012 and 2013 respectively.
Both branches were immediately successful, and enjoyed a very real – and growing – demand. Buoyed by this success and with his sights set on expanding his business into the four corners of France while maintaining the philosophy and values that make Espaces Atypiques such a unique concept, Julien decided to push ahead with the expansion of his network. The Bordeaux branch opened in spring 2014, and it didn’t stop there: today, Espaces Atypiques is a network of 30 agencies.
